SB Fitness was developed by Scott Birse of Banchory, Aberdeenshire. His business began in 2013 and he is qualified in various key Health and Fitness areas. His qualifications include: level 3 Personal Trainer, Kettlebell Instructor, Group Cycling coach, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) Instructor, Pre/Post Natal exercise advisor and also a Physical Education secondary Teacher.
Scott is a great believer of Functional Fitness in his delivery of PT sessions and classes. Functional Fitness training mimics every day actions incorporating multiple muscle groups at the same time. This builds strength, core and stability across the body making individuals more efficient human beings both in and outside of the gym. Scott also believes in allowing individuals to not only improve physically but mentally, socially and emotionally. He firmly believes improving all areas of an individuals health and wellbeing all hold equal importance to achieving successful change.
Scott is also a very keen runner and enters many events locally. He is married and has a young family.
Scott will be delivering a 30-45 minute Functional Fitness class which will cater for all fitness abilities. As stated earlier, the class will include a mix of key everyday movements and other additional exercises to safely increase the heart rate.
Scott will also offer individuals the opportunity to have key body measurements taken from weight to body fat. He will also advise individuals on daily calorie intake depending on their fitness goals!
