Dr Alex Bonsall
Alex is a consultant dermatologist. She graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2004 with a degree in Biomedical Science and 2008 with a degree in Medicine, and worked as a junior doctor in various parts of Scotland before returning to Aberdeen and training in Dermatology. Recently, she graduated from Queen Mary University of Londoon with a distinction in a postgraduate certificate in Aesthetic Medicine, and has written her first book, Skin Care for Cold Weather, published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing in 2019.
Skin Care for Cold Weather explores the problems cold weather can cause for our skin and what we can do about them. Alex will be talking about the structure and functions of the skin, how these are affected by elements of the weather, and how we can adapt our basic skincare in response.
