Bootybarre is a dynamic and energising workout that fuses techniques from Dance, Pilates, and Yoga. Bootybarre is the perfect combination of strength and flexibility with an added cardiovascular element utilising the barre.
This 45 minute workshop will take you through a warm up followed by a sequence of upper body exercises which will include the option of free weights. Next we move onto the ballet barre and work on a variety of combinations to target the lower body. Working on maintaining a strong core throughout, we will also move onto a section focusing on the abdominals. We round off the class with a flexibility
section and cool down.
Designed for all fitness levels and choreographed to an uplifting soundtrack, this workshop will leave you feeling energised and invigorated.
Leading the workshop is Gemma Avignone. Having trained and worked professionally as a dancer, Gemma has been teaching from a young age. Whilst studying Dance in London, she qualified as a fitness instructor and began to teach at a leading Fitness and Wellness Club. After venturing into the corporate world, Gemma discovered Bootybarre and its positive impact on both her body and mood. As one of the first people to bring barre classes to Aberdeen in 2016 and the first Bootybarre trainer to qualify in Scotland, Gemma is thrilled that Bootybarre continues to be one of the most popular barre fitness concepts in the North East.
